Made by hand
Our knowhow in making shoes by hand contributes significantly to the longevity of your pair of shoes.
An independent French house since 2008, we have crafted a quality charter in partnership with the artisans who churn out our 100% handmade shoes.
We have chosen the finest artisan workshops, each one specialized in one particular type of footwear.
The sneakers are 100% made in France. They are manufactured in Montjean-sur-Loire (in the chateau-rich Loire Valley) from vegetable-tanned French leather.
Our sandals are also made entirely on French soil. A workshop in the Gard uses fine French leathers from Espelette.
Our boots, our richelieus, and our moccasins are manufactured in a workshop in Spain’s Valencia area. The company specializes in the luxury footwear and uses the Blake stitch.
Our pumps are manufactured in Italy’s Marches region, in the city of Port Sant’Elpidio.
Each of our workshops, whether in France, Italy or Spain, is a family enterprise. They operate on a human scale. We have lasting bonds with them so that we can showcase their knowhow and spur local employment.
Philippe Zorzetto designs shoes in Paris. His creations are then created in four different yet complementary workshops, each with its own set of skills and excellence.
We offer the same artisanal and hand-made construction for both women’s and men’s footwear. This is a rarity today.
Respect for Humanity and Nature
We have been focusing on artisanal manufacturing and short-routing in order to minimize our carbon footprint as well as to protect local jobs and knowhow, particularly here at home in France.
Fine French Leathers
Our natural leathers are French. They are selected from the best tanneries tucked away in the southwestern corner of France (Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Béarn). We only use the noble portion of the hides: full-grain leather. This particular quality of leather contrasts sharply with standard shoe leathers that stiffen and dull with age. Ours become ever more beautiful as time rolls by, and their patina gleams more richly.
We adhere to environmental standards and the leathers come solely from the food industry. We purchase vegetable-tanned leathers and we are extending this natural process to all our collections. Each one of our tanneries adhere to French and European norms for waste and water management.
Specific Assembly: the Blake Stitch, A guarantee of significant longevity
Contrary to industrial constructions, all our models are handmade based on the Blake stitch technique. The leather upper and sole are sewn together from under the insole of the shoe, without resorting to any glues. This gives our shoes exceptional quality and long life. We have also incorporated an inner cushion in each of our soles to provide maximum comfort. It is available in both our women’s footwear items and our men’s footwear items.
Over 150 manual moves go into making a pair of Zorzetto shoes. Astounding, indeed!
We give meticulous care to each detail. We feel it is crucial that every customer have a unique and singular model. This is why all our models are made in limited quantities, thus allowing us to focus special care on the production line. The models are designed to be comfortable whatever your activity, any time of day or night.
A last inherited from Philippe’s shoemaker grandfather for inimitable design
Philippe Zorzetto designs his collections from these vintage and very specific lasts. The size range runs from EU sizes 36 to 45. Season after season, we choose cuts that are streamlined, trendy, and yet timeless.
A well-constructed shoe, made from durable leather, is a wise, long-term investment.
